Series of Works of hummingbirds, for the invitational show "Fly like a bird" held at Fuller Art House 2023. While the underlying work is still about the conversations of color on the canvas, the hummingbirds are symbolic of spiritual growth and good luck.

Pieces of Me is a series of small works. All of them are original hand painted 6" x 6" paintings. Each of us have special memories of places or things that are significant to us. This series of works are inspired by those little “Pieces of Me”. I tend to see lots of these memories in colors. The same way a sound or smell may trigger a memory in others… for me it is often colors that I connect with a memory. The "conversations of color" in these works represent these little memories, or “Pieces of me”

The imperfectly perfect paintings are designed to be hung in any orientation. The paired or diptych's have 32 different combinations horizontally and vertically. The paintings extend the conversation as they relate to each other, the space, and the viewer by adjusting how they are hung

I think about the colors in my work having a sort of musical conversation and connection with each other. The painterly grids contrasted with the graphical flowers helps create that "music" both within each piece and the series

I think about the colors in my work having a sort of musical conversation and connection with each other. The 3 paintings in this series stand on their own but also have a nice rhythm when arranged together.

There is something about being near the ocean that just clears my mind. The sweet salty air, the breeze, the sound of the waves, all this just instantly quiets my mind and calms my soul. In this series I wanted to evoke that same feeling I get when I think of being by the water. I wanted to create a space where the color palette awakened this feeling and the flowers floated through the canvas. The Sea Breeze series of mindscapes I can see the flowers floating through the space with the same calming rhythm of a gentle breeze or the slow rolling waves at the end of the day when the beach is quiet and almost everyone has gone home. This series would be equally at home on your wall with one painting or any combination of them grouped together for a calming display that you can look at and reset your mind

A collection of works from the Small Works Big Color Series. My sketch book is full of drawings from real life or pictures of flowers. In this series I made blind contour drawings on canvas from those sketches and allowed the color to have a conversation on the canvas. These small works are powerful enough to hang alone or to make a powerful statement with them clustered on your wall
