Each of us has special memories of places or things that are meaningful to us. This series of works is inspired by those little “Pieces of Me”. I tend to see lots of these memories in colors. The same way a sound or smell might trigger a memory in others… for me it is often colors that I connect with my memories. The “conversations of color” in these works represent these memories, or “Pieces of me”. The Guacamole Series is inspired by family dinners. A staple in my house and the one food that can bring my family together. Just saying the word “guacamole” makes me happy.
