Ink on Paper

This painting's gentle shapes slide into each other like leaves rustling down in fall time, or like the sensation of falling into sleep. To make this painting, I draw only a few lines, and then use a paint roller to pick up and repeat those lines across the field of the work, creating a ghostly, resonant visual impression. I love its consistent rhythm, and the shapes that move towards interlocking and knitting together to form a yet-unseen whole.
