Pyrren brings to mind an image of mountains on fire. I feel a rippling intensity about it that is edgy and continuous. To make this painting, I draw only a few lines, and then use a paint roller to pick up and repeat those lines across the field of the work, creating a ghostly, resonant visual impression.
