This painting was headed toward a cloud study until it whispered that it was wishing to be a mountain. After the darker tones were added, it proclaimed this wish. Paint can, after all, be anything it wishes to be. A good lesson for all of us. This work is from a suite of paintings done on black grounds. The size quoted is the framed size. Without the frame the artwork is 14"h x 12"w.
