The painting began with a photo shoot with a beautiful model the artist met at a party. After exchanging phone numbers with a view to doing a shoot together, they discovered the actually lived in the same Brooklyn apartment building. The photoshoot went ahead at Price's nearby studio and the resulting photos have weaved themselves into many of her new figurative work. With this piece of work, the artist aimed to achieve a sketchy illustrative quality, in the realm of the beautiful unfinished. The bold and beautiful color scheme invites the viewer to float or fly away in the luxurious out stretched limbs of our heroine.
