Oil, Acrylic, Marker, Oil Stick, and Crayon on Canvas

After having a difficult summer after graduating from my MFA, my two best friends and roommates left suddenly to pursue careers in new cities. I could not find a studio that I could afford. My computer that I bought in 2011 broke and every time apple sent it back, it was even more broken. After 2 months of feeling like I had buried myself into debt and finding it harder to make art, I finally found a studio. I started painting pictures of flowers to warm back up to represent the new growth and future. As a naturally negative person, I found myself with new optimism.
