A massive oak tree, with roots wrapped around boulders & into the rushing water had a drama all its own. Thinking about time passing, with the boulders the oldest but subject to the wear & tear of the rushing water, possibly rolling downstream during floods. The oak tree could be over one hundred years old, managing to cling to the edge of the water, and withstand rain & wind, bugs & animals. And then the water with multiple colors of blue & green,spray where it hits the rocks & constantly moves around them. This acrylic painting on wood panel makes use of the extraordinary versatility of acrylics, with texture specific to the trees, the rocks & the water. Multiple layers give a sense of depth and time passing. Painting has painted edges & is wired so it is ready to hang as is or could be framed.
