Amelia Carley's art delves into the intersection of memories and dreams, drawing inspiration from her Southwestern upbringing and real desert landscapes through the fabrication and exploration of an invented world. Her recent creations are born from glass debris collected at Brooklyn's Glass Bottle Beach, fusing century-old remnants into surreal models. The models are lit, photographed, and digitally transformed to construct a dreamlike universe. Carley merges traditional landscape painting with photographic techniques like lens flares and blurs, weaving layered compositions that mirror the enigmatic quality of dreams and memories.
