When I painted this I was thinking about the ego, the memory, and how we are all complicit in the polluting of this Earth. At the same time beauty abounds, and we are present in the moment with limited options. We hold the observations of what is going on around us, and despite our higher intentions can only step forward in the now where we are. The girl in this painting is caught/ held in the beauty and in the muck. She is only human. She is an idea. A single yet ever changing moment.

This is a gallery wrapped canvas and is wired, ready to hang.
