Kale Baker's work explores the landscape through color and mark-making. She draws parallels between mother nature and the human heart through expressive brushwork, turbulence and vulnerability.
Baker received her BFA from Montserrat College of Art in 2017. She then attended the Vermont Studio Center on the Emily Mason Painting Fellowship the same year.Baker had a solo exhibition at the Governor's Academy in 2020. She has also shown her work in several small group and juried exhibitions including Unseen at the 301 Gallery in Beverly, MA, 3 Under 30 at the Newburyport Art Association in Newburyport MA, Painting The Landscape at the Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester and Three artists, One Show at Coldwell Banker in Cambridge, MA. Baker's work has been published in the Newburyport Art Association Blog, Artwork Archive blog and the Newburyport Daily News.
